Perfect for busy mornings or when you need a quick, healthy pick-me-up.

What You’ll Need

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • ½ cup brewed espresso (chilled)
  • ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter or almond butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional, but delicious!)
  • ½ cup ice cubes

Pro Tips

Use frozen banana – This makes the smoothie extra creamy and thick without needing more ice.
Chill your espresso – Hot espresso will melt the ice and change the texture. Brew it ahead of time and let it cool!
Boost the protein – If you want extra protein, add Greek yogurt or an extra half scoop of protein powder.
Make it sweeter – If you like a sweeter smoothie, add a date or a drizzle of honey.

Tools You’ll Need

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups & spoons
  • A tall glass for serving

Substitutions & Variations

🔹 Nut allergy? Swap peanut butter for sunflower seed butter or skip it.
🔹 Dairy-free? Stick with almond, oat, or coconut milk.
🔹 No banana? Use ½ cup frozen cauliflower or avocado for creaminess.
