Frozen Grasshopper Cocktail

Millie Pham

This Frozen Grasshopper Cocktail is a boozy, minty, chocolatey dream. It’s rich, creamy, and basically an adult version of a mint chocolate chip milkshake.

If you love the classic Grasshopper cocktail, this frozen twist takes it up a notch!

Perfect for St. Patrick’s Day, summer nights, or whenever you’re craving something sweet and refreshing.

Let’s blend up something delicious!

What You’ll Need

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz crème de menthe (green)
  • 1 oz crème de cacao (white)
  • 2 oz heavy cream
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup ice
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Chocolate shavings (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Chocolate syrup (optional, for glass drizzle)

Pro Tips

Use high-quality ice cream – It makes the drink ultra creamy!
Chill your glass – Pop it in the freezer for 5-10 minutes for extra frostiness.
Adjust sweetness – Add more ice cream for a sweeter, milkshake-like drink or more ice for a lighter version.
Go extra fancy – Drizzle chocolate syrup inside the glass before pouring for a beautiful presentation.
Blend in bursts – This keeps the ice from over-blending into water.

Tools You’ll Need

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups
  • Coupe or martini glasses
  • Spoon (for drizzling chocolate syrup)

Substitutions & Variations

🔹 Dairy-Free Version: Swap heavy cream for coconut cream and use dairy-free ice cream.
🔹 Stronger Cocktail: Add an extra half-ounce of crème de menthe or crème de cacao.
🔹 Chocolate Lover’s Twist: Use chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla.
🔹 Less Sweet: Reduce the ice cream and use more ice.
