Chocolate Orange Fudge

Millie Pham

If you love the classic combo of rich chocolate and bright, zesty orange, this Chocolate Orange Fudge is going to be your new favorite treat! It’s smooth, creamy, and melts in your mouth, with just the right amount of citrusy goodness to make every bite extra special.

And the best part? No baking, no fancy equipment—just melt, mix, and chill!

Let’s do it!

What You’ll Need

  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips (or chopped dark chocolate, at least 60% cocoa)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp orange extract
  • 1 tbsp fresh orange zest (plus more for garnish)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Optional topping: Melted chocolate drizzle, extra orange zest, or a sprinkle of flaky sea salt

Pro Tips

  1. Use fresh orange zest! It gives the fudge the best bright, citrusy flavor.
  2. Melt the chocolate slowly. Dark chocolate can seize up if overheated—keep the heat low and stir constantly.
  3. Let it set completely. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting for the best texture.
  4. Balance the flavors. If you like a stronger orange kick, add an extra ½ teaspoon of orange extract.
  5. Make it extra fancy! Drizzle melted chocolate on top or sprinkle with a little flaky sea salt for a gourmet touch.

Tools You’ll Need

  • Medium saucepan
  • Spatula
  • 8×8-inch baking dish
  • Parchment paper
  • Knife for cutting

Substitutions & Variations

  • Dairy-free option: Use dairy-free dark chocolate and coconut condensed milk.
  • Sweeter version: Use semi-sweet chocolate instead of dark.
  • Extra crunch: Stir in chopped almonds or candied orange peel for added texture.
  • Boozy twist: Add ½ tbsp Grand Marnier or Cointreau for a spiked chocolate-orange flavor.
