Millie Pham

Who says coffee and smoothies can’t be best friends?

This Berry Coffee Smoothie is the perfect mix of creamy, fruity, and caffeinated—basically, breakfast and your morning pick-me-up all in one!

It’s sweet, refreshing, and packed with antioxidants, thanks to the berries, plus a little protein to keep you full.

Great for busy mornings, post-workout fuel, or just because it tastes amazing!

Let’s get blending!

What You’ll Need

  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 small banana (for creaminess)
  • ½ cup brewed coffee (cooled)
  • ½ cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt (for protein)
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Handful of ice cubes

Pro Tips

✅ Use cold coffee—hot coffee will melt the ice and thin out the smoothie.
✅ Swap banana for avocado if you don’t want extra sweetness but still want creaminess.
✅ Want it thicker? Add extra ice or a scoop of protein powder!
✅ For an extra boost, toss in a tablespoon of chia or flaxseeds.
✅ Need it dairy-free? Use oat, almond, or coconut milk and a dairy-free yogurt.

Tools You’ll Need

  • High-speed blender
  • Measuring cups & spoons
  • Glass for serving

Substitutions & Variations

  • No coffee? Use cold brew tea or just milk for a berry smoothie.
  • No banana? Try mango or a scoop of oats for thickness.
  • Want it sweeter? Add more honey or a Medjool date.
  • Extra indulgent? Blend in a spoonful of peanut or almond butter.

Make-Ahead Tips

  • Brew your coffee the night before and store it in the fridge.
  • Pre-portion berries, banana, and yogurt in freezer bags for easy grab-and-blend mornings!

How to Make It

1. Brew & Cool the Coffee

Leftovers & Storage

  • Best enjoyed fresh, but you can store leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours in a sealed jar. Shake well before drinking.
  • For longer storage, pour into an ice cube tray and freeze. Blend frozen cubes with a splash of milk for a quick smoothie later!
