Cinnamon Roll Protein Shake

Millie Pham

If you love warm, gooey cinnamon rolls but want something healthier and packed with protein, this Cinnamon Roll Protein Shake is perfect for you! It’s thick, creamy, and tastes like a freshly baked cinnamon roll—but without all the sugar.

Whether it’s for breakfast, post-workout, or a sweet treat, this shake is ready in minutes.

Let’s blend it up!

What You’ll Need

  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • ½ frozen banana (for creaminess)
  • 1 tbsp almond butter (for richness)
  • 1 tbsp oat flour or almond flour (for that doughy taste)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp butter extract (the secret to real cinnamon roll flavor!)
  • ½ cup ice cubes

For Toppings (Optional but Delicious!):

  • Drizzle of sugar-free icing (see how to make below!)
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • Cinnamon stick for garnish

Pro Tips

  1. Use frozen banana! It makes the shake extra thick and creamy.
  2. Want it even thicker? Add ½ cup Greek yogurt or more ice.
  3. Make it dairy-free! Use almond, oat, or coconut milk.
  4. No butter extract? Swap it for ½ tsp melted coconut oil.
  5. Want extra spice? Add a pinch of nutmeg or pumpkin spice.

Tools You’ll Need

  • Blender
  • Tall glass
  • Spoon for drizzling icing

Substitutions & Variations

  • No protein powder? Use ½ cup Greek yogurt for a protein boost.
  • Want it sweeter? Add ½ tbsp honey or maple syrup.
  • Extra indulgent? Blend in a few crushed sugar-free cinnamon cookies!
