Matcha Coconut Cloud

Millie Pham

If you love creamy coconut and earthy matcha, this Matcha Coconut Cloud is about to be your new favorite drink! It’s smooth, dreamy, and ultra-fluffy, with a light coconut sweetness and a rich matcha kick.

The best part? It’s easy to make, feels super fancy, and tastes like a tropical matcha cloud in a glass!

Let’s do this!

What You’ll Need

For the Matcha Base:

  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • ¼ cup hot water (not boiling!)
  • ½ cup coconut milk (full-fat for creaminess!)
  • ½ cup sparkling water (for a light, airy texture)
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)

For the Coconut Cloud Foam:

  • ¼ cup coconut cream (chilled!)
  • 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk (or coconut condensed milk for dairy-free option)
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

For Garnish (Optional but Fancy!):

  • Dusting of matcha powder
  • Drizzle of honey

Pro Tips

  1. Use full-fat coconut milk! It makes the drink extra creamy and dreamy.
  2. Chill the coconut cream. This helps it whip up into a thick, fluffy foam.
  3. Whisk the matcha well! A bamboo whisk or electric frother makes it smooth and clump-free.
  4. Want extra bubbles? Use coconut sparkling water instead of regular.
  5. Make it even fancier! Top with toasted coconut flakes for a tropical twist.

Tools You’ll Need

  • Whisk (matcha whisk or electric frother)
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Hand mixer (for coconut foam)
  • Clear glass for serving

Substitutions & Variations

  • Dairy-free option: Use coconut condensed milk or maple syrup instead of regular condensed milk.
  • Sweeter version: Add a splash of vanilla syrup or agave.
  • Stronger matcha flavor: Use 1½ tsp matcha instead of 1 tsp.
  • Iced latte version: Skip the sparkling water and pour over ice instead!
