Pro Tips

  1. Let the cake cool completely before mixing with frosting.
  2. Don’t overdo the frosting—you want moist, not mushy cake balls.
  3. Chill before dipping—this helps them hold shape.
  4. Use coconut oil to thin the candy melts for smoother coating.
  5. Decorate fast! Add sprinkles before the coating sets.

🔄 Substitutions & Variations

  • No candy melts? Use white chocolate with a few drops of pink food coloring.
  • Want a different color? Swap candy melts to match your theme.
  • Dairy-free? Use plant-based butter and cream cheese.

Make-Ahead Tips

  • Make cake and frosting a day ahead and store separately.
  • Cake balls can be frozen before coating—just thaw slightly before dipping.
  • Finished pops last 4–5 days in the fridge.
