What You’ll Need

  • ½ cup cottage cheese (full-fat or low-fat)
  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • ½ cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup ice cubes

Pro Tips

Use frozen fruit – This makes your smoothie extra thick and cold, so you might not even need ice!
Blend in stages – Start with the cottage cheese and milk to make it super smooth before adding the frozen fruit.
Sweeten to taste – If your berries are extra sweet, you might not need honey at all. Taste before adding!
Make it a smoothie bowl – Use less milk and top with granola for a spoonable treat.

Tools You’ll Need

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups & spoons
  • Glass for serving

Substitutions & Variations

  • Swap cottage cheese for Greek yogurt if you prefer.
  • Use almond, oat, or coconut milk instead of regular milk.
  • Replace honey with maple syrup or a Medjool date for a natural sweetener.
  • Add chia seeds or flaxseeds for extra fiber and omega-3s.
  • Boost protein by mixing in a scoop of vanilla protein powder.

Make-Ahead Tips

  • Freeze everything together – Portion out all the ingredients (except milk) into freezer bags so you can just dump and blend.
  • Blend and store – Make the smoothie ahead of time and keep it in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Shake or re-blend before drinking!
