Iced Coffee Mojito

Millie Pham

If you love coffee and refreshing cocktails, this Iced Coffee Mojito is the perfect mashup! It’s smooth, minty, and just sweet enough to feel fancy without being fussy.

Think of it like your morning coffee with a fun twist—or your happy hour with a little caffeine kick. Perfect for warm days or when you’re craving something cool and different.

Let’s mix it up!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 oz white rum
  • 1 oz freshly brewed espresso (cooled) or strong coffee
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (or adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 lime (cut into wedges)
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes
  • Sparkling water or club soda (to top it off)
  • Mint sprig and lime wedge (for garnish)

Pro Tips:

  1. Use fresh mint for the best flavor—the leaves are key to that mojito vibe!
  2. Brew the coffee ahead of time so it has time to cool. Hot coffee won’t work here!
  3. Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup depending on your taste.

Tools You’ll Need:

  • Tall glass
  • Muddler or wooden spoon (for muddling the mint)
  • Spoon (for stirring)

Substitutions & Variations:

  • No rum? You can skip it for a non-alcoholic version or swap it for vodka.
  • Dairy-free? Add a splash of almond or coconut milk for a creamy twist.
  • Want it sweeter? Add a drizzle of caramel or vanilla syrup instead of simple syrup.

Make Ahead Tips:

Brew your coffee and store it in the fridge ahead of time to save time when mixing the drink.

How to Make Iced Coffee Mojito:

1. Muddle the Mint and Lime

In a tall glass, add 6-8 fresh mint leaves, 2-3 lime wedges, and 1/2 oz of simple syrup. Gently muddle them together to release the mint oils and lime juice.

2. Add Rum and Coffee, fill with Ice

Add ice cubes to the glass, filling it nearly to the top. Pour in 1 oz of white rum and 1 oz of cooled espresso (or strong coffee). Stir gently to mix.

3. Top with Sparkling Water

Leftovers & Storage:

This drink is best enjoyed fresh for that minty, fizzy goodness. If you have leftover coffee, store it in the fridge and use it later.

Conclusion:

And there you have it—a refreshing Iced Coffee Mojito that’s equal parts energizing and relaxing. It’s the perfect blend of minty, citrusy, and coffee goodness. Give it a try and let me know how you like it! Did you add your own twist? Drop a comment below—I’d love to hear all about it. Cheers! 🌿☕
